Sinopsis

“El Poder de Creer” es una exploración emocional y humana sobre el poder transformador de la confianza. A través de las historias de instituciones y personas que trabajan silenciosamente por el bien común, el documental muestra cómo el acto de creer, en otros, en sus ideas y en su capacidad de cambio, puede generar impacto real y duradero. Entre pasado y presente, entre lo individual y lo colectivo, la pieza construye un retrato del país que somos y del país que podemos llegar a ser cuando decidimos apostar por los demás.

“El Poder de Creer” is an emotional and human exploration of the transformative power of trust. Through the stories of institutions and individuals working quietly for the common good, the documentary reveals how the act of believing, in others, in their ideas, and in their potential for change, can create real and lasting impact. Moving between past and present, between the individual and the collective, the film paints a portrait of who we are as a country, and who we can become when we choose to believe in one another.

Un equipo de filmación viaja por la República Dominicana para documentar a los ganadores de los Premios Brugal Cree en su Gente 2025. En el camino, el director y los entrevistados terminan respondiendo, sin saberlo, las mismas preguntas: qué significa creer en alguien, qué se siente retratar a quienes trabajan en silencio, y de qué lado está realmente el privilegio. Lo que empieza como un detrás de cámaras se convierte en una conversación entre personas que nunca estuvieron en la misma sala.

A film crew travels across the Dominican Republic to document the winners of the 2025 Premios Brugal Cree en su Gente. Along the way, the director and his subjects end up answering, unknowingly, the same questions: what it means to believe in someone, what it feels like to portray people who work in silence, and which side of the story truly holds the privilege. What begins as a behind-the-scenes piece becomes a conversation between people who were never in the same room.

Ciudad Santa María is an Education and Community Project with the goal of improve the lives of hundreds of kids and youths who live in scarce situations. This project is located in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

In this project we had the honor to document their effort and show it to the world to inspire and promote this kind of initiatives.
